"Productivity isn't about doing more, it's about creating more impact with less work". This post contains 5 productivity tips that you should use in your daily routine to take your productivity to the next level.

1. Your morning routine starts the night before

Most of us decide what we are going to do on a particular day after waking up. Due to this, you waste a significant amount of energy and time in deciding the tasks, which could otherwise have been used to perform those tasks.

Remember on a particular day we only have certain decisions that we can take and this decision shouldn't be one of them, therefore "Plan your days the night before".

2. Use Power of Deadlines

Give yourself one day to complete a task and it will take one whole day. Give yourself 2 hours to complete the same task and it will be completed within those 2 hours. Seems like a miracle. Right?

No, it isn't. This is the power and importance of setting Deadlines. Write your tasks down and assign deadlines to each one of them. To make the process more interesting you can also reward yourself for completing the task. For example, if I write an article on "Productivity Tips" within the allocated time then I will treat myself to a cup of coffee.

Bonus Tip ๐Ÿ’ก: Always add 10-15 minutes extra to the deadlines. This has 2 benefits:

i. If a task is not completed within the allotted time, you will be having 15 extra minutes to complete it.

ii. If you complete the task on time, you will have 15 minutes before moving on to the next one.

3. Include Workouts

Many people believe that "working out drains your energy" and that they will feel tired afterward. They can't get more wrong with this one.

Having Workouts (especially in the afternoon/evenings) in your routine is like having a reset switch to your day. With this reset switch, you can increase your happy hormones and feel calm by reducing all the stress and anxiety at the same time. Due to this little habit, you can experience two days within a single day.

4. Journaling

Our mind has the power to make or break us. There are times when a lot of things are going on in our minds at the same time, which causes a lot of anxiety.

Write everything down on a piece of paper to clear your mind and get rid of your anxiety. Set a timer for 10 minutes and write whatever is going on your mind. When you read the stuff after those 10 minutes, you'll notice that most of it were the result of overthinking ( which is a major productivity killer).

Apart from this, journaling creates space in your mind for good things and makes your vision clear. Ultimately, you'll have to try this to experience its benefits.

5. Listen to White Noise

It's scientifically proven that ambient noise increases productivity. That's why white noise was invented. White noise has the potential to keep you focused, promote creativity, and is an excellent tool for clearing your mind. The sounds of nature help you relax, increase productivity and decrease stress.

Earlier I used to listen to white noise on Youtube but we all know how distracting it can be with its ads and recommendations, especially during deep work sessions. Focusly is a great tool you can use to focus on your tasks in a better way and get work done without getting distracted. PS: It was built by me a few days ago.

In this article, we discussed 5 tips that will help you to take your productivity to the next level.
